ArabMan-06RMiddle East Reformed Fellowship shares Christ's love in the Muslim world.

Middle East Reformed Fellowship is an international Christian organization laboring in many Arab and Muslim countries. It serves on behalf of committed reformed and evangelical churches and believers worldwide.

Window-Sunburst-03MERF upholds the Bible and its authority.

Reformed Christians in the Arab and Muslim countries need encouragement from the Word of God. MERF lays the Bible as the foundation of its teaching and proclamation, declaring the whole counsel of God through all its ministries.

Window-Sheaves-03MERF proclaims the gospel through radio and other means.

Radio broadcasts in Arabic and many other languages reach a potential audience of over 340 million. They use a conversational style of program to discuss issues of importance. Listeners are invited to write in response.

Burning-Bush-16MERF is committed to the historic Reformed faith.

Reformed Christians in Arab and Muslim countries need encouragement from other Reformed churches and believers. We proclaim the historic Christian faith as articulated in the confessions of the Reformation—the Three Forms of Unity and the Westminster Standards.

Window-Crown-1MERF ministers to the church and is accountable to the church.

MERF is not a para-church but an inter-church agency which serves international reformed and presbyterian churches. Its focus is building up local, indigenous churches which know best how to reach out to their own people.

Circle-01MERF shares Christ's love through word and deed.

Aid is provided through National MERF Committees working through local churches, by equipping people to be self sufficient rather than meeting immediate needs only.

With its strategy of evangelism, church extension, biblical training, and diaconal aid, MERF serves Arabic speaking countries in North Africa, the Gulf States, the Near East, and Indonesia.

Square-037MERF is bearing fruit for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

The Church throughout Arab and Muslim countries is being encouraged and strengthened. Muslims are responding to the challenge of the Gospel of Christ and are being discipled by national Christians. Those in need are being helped spiritually and materially.

MERF is what you want missions to be and do!

MERF is engaged in encouraging and strengthening the Church throughout the Middle East, North and East Africa and other Muslim lands. Ministries include:

1. Evangelistic Outreach

MERF is reaching Muslims and others through gospel broadcasts, web sites, and literature in the Arabic, Farsi, Dinka, Nuer, Amharic, Oromo, Somali, Javanese, Sudanese, Bugis, Makassar and Toraja languages. In each country, growing numbers of non-Christians are responding, expressing serious interest in the liberating truth of the Gospel.

2. Church Extension

MERF is helping expand the Kingdom of Jesus Christ by assisting national churches which are already active in Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Chad, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, the Arabian Gulf and Indonesia. New believers are being discipled in these national churches and new congregations are being formed.

3. Biblical Training

MERF is discipling converts and church leaders by equipping those already knowledgeable in the local language and culture. It recognizes that the Lord Jesus Christ has raised up indigenous missionaries to serve Him in Arab and Muslim lands. It trains such workers to serve under local Reformed and Presbyterian churches.

4. Diaconal Aid

MERF reaches out with Christ's compassion to the suffering. Based on biblical principles, works of mercy are exercised by a consistent ministry of word and deed (Gal. 6:10). Because of this, those in need are being helped spiritually and materially.
