Biblical Training
MERF implements a variety of programs to facilitate biblical and theological training.
The fundamental purpose of the Gospel is to reconcile sinful men, women, and children to the sovereign, triune God. It is "the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16). Yet, the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ has implications for all areas of thought and life. The gospel is not relativised by human culture, but transcends it and redeems it. Redemption is the restoration of God's design for creation and human life. For this reason, MERF uses the key strategy of equipping the church and its leaders through biblical teaching.
Training Spiritual Leaders
MERF equips national church leaders with God's Word. Experienced pastors and teachers from faithful churches serve short-term as guest instructors at MERF centers in Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, Kenya, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Indonesia. They give biblical training to pastors, evangelists, elders, youth workers, and others at seminars, conferences, and in longer courses. Literature for biblical training is published in Arabic and other languages.
Evangelical Study Centers

In order to serve the churches effectively, MERF has established in Cyprus the John Calvin Center for training and study. The research facilities are available for pastors and others to strengthen their scriptural and theological knowledge in a practical way through structured or independent study to equip them for effective ministries. This includes a growing library of literature and audiovisual materials on a wide range of topics. Additional study centers have also been established in Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, Ethiopia and Indonesia.
